Installation Guide

Please download and unzip the file speedlimit.zip with a suitable program - we recommend WINZIP - into a goal file of your choice on its computer (e.g. " own files ").
Terminate on your PND the navigation software.
Attach your PND to your computer and connect via ActiveSync (starting from 4.0, Update).
If you selected as in our example as goal files with unpacking the file " own files ", then you find the file " speed limit " there. Change to this file and double click the " Setup.exe " and follow on-screen instructions.
Activating " SpeedLimit " on the PND by you on the PND the small window will appear with on then off . As soon as the small window becomes green, speed limit is active. Tap the small window on " OK " away.
Now disconnect the PND from the PC and start your navigation program.

SpeedLimit is now operational. While driving you see a small symbol as reference, which runs speedlimit in the background on the display.

Notes for Becker Traffic ASSIST user

After switching off over the lateral ON/OFF switch (hard RESET) speed limit is no longer active, if you want to use the ON/OFF switch nevertheless, you can additionally make the following changes (starting from version 1.93).

1. Copy the data " / My Flash Disk/SpeedLimit/Register.exe " to " / My Flash Disk/Register.exe "

2. (for 7934) Rename the " PictureViewer.exe " file to " PictureViewerOld.exe " and afterwards the " Register.exe " file to " PictureViewer.exe ."

3. With the next hard RESET you need to start your pictureviewer now only once to reactivate speedlimit. The pictureviewer is naturally no longer functional now, but who used it anyway?

Database-Update

Database updates give you on the newest conditions on the roads and once paid for may be updated daily. The update is however not free of charge, we charge the nominal sum of € 9,95. More information about SpeedLimit database update is available here: (SpeedLimit Database-Update).
